Canada Basketball – TORONTO, ON (May 29, 2018) – Canada Basketball is pleased to announce the 17 athletes who will attend the U18 men’s national team training camp from May 30 – June 7 at Carleton University (Ottawa, ON).

Head Coach Dave Smart (Carleton University) will be joined by assistants Michael Meeks (Canada Basketball), Jamie McNeilly (Virginia Tech), and Chris Cheng (Nipissing University).
 
Following training camp, the team will travel to St. Catharines on Thursday, June 7 for the FIBA U18 Americas Championship 2018 (June 10-16).
 
Training camp is closed to the public. Media are invited to post-practice scrums on the following dates:

Saturday, June 2

11:45 a.m. Gym Opens
12:00 p.m. Availability

Wednesday, June 6

12:45 p.m. Gym Opens
1:00 p.m. Availability

Saturday, June 9 (Meridian Centre – St. Catharines)

2:15 p.m. Gym Opens
2:30 p.m. Availability

Media interested in attending training camp can contact Team Manager Scott Waithe.  Practices will take place at the Ravens’ Nest on the campus of Carleton University.

Last summer, the team earned a historic gold medal at the FIBA U19 World Cup 2017 in Cairo, Egypt.

Canada is currently ranked 2^nd worldwide in the FIBA Youth Men Rankings.
