Once again, sport participation has proven beneficial on and off the field of play. A recent study of new drivers in Los Angeles found that a history of sport participation was related to improved spatial perception, and thus driving skills. Novice men and women with experience in organized sport performed considerably better on their driving tests compared to those with no sport experience.
