Mentorship is a relationship in which advice, information, guidance, support or opportunity are offered for professional development. Mentorship has emerged as a promising practice to help recruit, advance and retain women in coaching, and can be applied to advancing women in other leadership roles. Sport administrators play an important role in supporting formal mentorship programs.
