While genetic testing has been used to advantage in medical research, it has proved a very slippery slope when it comes to athletes and athletic performance. The Australian Institute of Sport has written their recommendations to “address the implications of recent advances in the field of genetics and the ramifications for the health and well-being of athletes”.
