INS Québec and its network support more than 550 high-level athletes (mainly members of Canadian teams), around 2000 next-generation athletes and some 900 coaches by providing scientific, medical and professional services. As a member of the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Sport Institute Network, INS Québec is active across Quebec thanks to its network of 8 regional multi-sport training centres, 18 single-sport training centres and its Complex located at the Olympic Park, which is home to 10 high-performance training groups.
INS Québec receives support from the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur, Sport Canada, Own the Podium, the Canadian Olympic Committee, the Canadian Olympic Foundation, the Canadian Paralympic Committee and the Coaching Association of Canada, as well as from private partners, such as Sports Experts, CISCO, Bell, B2ten and Mondo.
Program Agent « Jouez gagnant! »
Immediate supervisor: Director, Communication & Marketing
Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, the Program Agent is responsible for coordinating activities for the “Jouez gagnant!” sports development program. ». The Program Agent coordinates and/or helps to develop and manage the program, to manage relations with host communities (schools, municipalities, organizations etc.), to recruit and train athlete speakers and to continuously evaluate the program and its promotional activities. The Program Agent may also be called upon to help plan other events organized by INS Québec.
The main responsibilities of the role are as follows:
To ensure the delivery and coordination of the “Jouez gagnant!” program in collaboration with program partners. To organize and coordinate training and development sessions for the program’s athlete speakers; to recruit new athlete speakers from among members of the Équipe Québec program and retired athletes. To develop and maintain relationships of trust with members of the Équipe Québec program and athlete speakers. To help develop and update the program’s policies and procedures. To develop and/or research promotional tools, resources and materials to increase the program’s visibility. To participate in various events with the aim of promoting and increasing visibility of the program.
A Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in management and operational leisure procedures or in a related field. A minimum of three (3) years in program management and/or any other relevant experience. A combination of equivalent training and experience may be considered.
Availability on a flexible schedule and occasionally on evenings and at weekends. Excellent command of French, both written and spoken. Excellent knowledge of various office automation tools (Microsoft Office suite). Good knowledge of the high-performance sports sphere and of sports systems in Québec and Canada. Good command of spoken and written
English. Strong project development and management skills. Knowledge and links with educational institutions an asset.
Duration: Temporary position – maternity leave replacement
Working Hours: Full time
Start date: December 2020
Salary: Hourly salary in accordance with current salary range ($20.58 to $27.84).
