OSU Force Academy (Ottawa, Canada) is recognised as Ottawa’s premier youth soccer academy and as one of the most effective programs in Canada. It has a proven and demonstrated record of team success and player development. We are seeking  an excellence driven individual who is a team player to lead the delivery of our high performance programs and teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level training for Force Academy teams, primarily within the 13-19 year old ages

  • Utilize coaching resources and software to help plan and manage training sessions and game-play

  • Establish yearly periodized plan for team and age range

  • Conduct game preparation meetings and analysis with team

  • Assist and facilitate coaching education as required

  • Provide additional technical training for teams within OSU as required

  • Provide detailed player assessments on a scheduled basis

Competencies & Skills Required

  • Experience working in a high performance structure (university, professional, amateur club)

  • Canadian National B Coaching License or International equivalent preferred

  • National Youth License enrolment or completion is also preferred

  • Detailed understanding of the development phases of players and optimal training and performance practices

  • Understanding of the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) practices and standards

  • Desire to continue to learning and expand your education in the game

  • Knowledge of and support for the Canadian Soccer Association’s Long Term Player Development (LTPD) model and Wellness To World Cup framework.

  • Experience with and a passion for personal education and development

  • A team player

  • An ability to think and plan strategically

  • Strong communications skills and an ability to convey messages to parents, players and club personnel
