Position Summary
The successful candidate will work with the campus recreation team in providing recreational activities for the Centennial College Community. They will be tasked with organizing and leading group fitness classes.
Responsibilities
· Supervise and lead group fitness classes for students and staff at varying intensities
· Ensure injury prevention and safe practices are prescribed for all participants
· Coordinate schedules and activities with other Centennial College fitness instructors
· Flexible schedule to work mornings, afternoons and evenings
· Ability to work across all Centennial College campuses
· Set up equipment and ensure it is returned to the storage facility in the same condition
· Represent the Athletics and Recreation department to your best capabilities
Qualifications/Experience
- Current group fitness certification required
- Experience teaching fitness classes, both in-person and virtually
- Current First-aid/CPR certifications
- Ability to teach different classes is an asset (Yoga, Bootcamp, Zumba, core, spin etc…)
- Self-motivated individual with exceptional time management skills
