Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, the job holder is responsible for implementing digital communication strategies including, but not limited to, managing the website and social media sites. The job holder is also responsible for effective management and planning in regard to the organization of events of different types and sizes, as well as managing relationships with partners, meeting deadlines, monitoring budgets and ensuring overall production and delivery quality.

The main responsibilities of the role are as follows:

To be a technical expert in digital communication for the internal teams of INS Québec. To contribute to the development of annual or ad hoc strategies for the website and social media sites. To coordinate the development of website and social media projects.

To plan and coordinate the design, production and delivery of corporate, promotional, fundraising, program, media and training events. To help recruit human resources as required depending on the event. To support management in developing communication tools. To ensure the website functions correctly. To ensure proactive outreach of INS Québec on social media sites. To ensure the overall coordination of events. To be on-site at events and manage them in accordance with agreed plans.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in communications or in a relevant field. A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in website management, social media management and community engagement, and event  management. A combination of equivalent training and experience may be considered. 

Availability on a flexible schedule and occasionally on evenings and at weekends. Excellent command of French (spoken and written) and fluency in content writing. Good knowledge of English (spoken and written). Good knowledge of the Internet, popular social media sites and mass emailing. Good knowledge of management tools for websites, social platforms and mass emailing platforms. Knowledge of graphic design and of visual and sound production tools. Knowledge of web and digital performance analysis tools. Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of the high-performance sports sphere and of sports systems in Québec and Canada an asset.
