Coordinator, Tennis Development

What we are looking for

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Tennis Development, the position holder will be to provide administrative support, conduct research and help coordinate and support the SVP and the Tennis Development (TD) and High Performance (HP) department leaders drive key strategic focus areas. Develop different collateral material of the Rogers Cup presented by
National Bank tournament marketing campaign in Toronto;

  • Provide administrative support to SVP of TD to manage all meeting logistics for Sport related meetings where the SVP is the key staff person (TD Board, COP/Provincial/national staff meetings and key presentation preparation and meetings;
  • Help manage SVP schedule, planning and preparation for meetings and key stakeholder presentations;·
  • Provide administrative support for the new HP pipeline leader hire that will oversee and manage U15 talent working closely with the Regional Centres, clubs and private sector coaches;·
  • Provide administrative support for the TD directors and leaders as required;
  • Conduct data driven research for key projects and priority areas to help substantiate strategic directions and help drive results in key focus areas;
  • Treat and prioritize efficiently all requests, projects execution, deadlines and deliverables for the above areas in conjunction with SVP and TD leadership team;
  • Maintain key relations, to ensure that projects are executed, requests are handled, and deadlines are respected;
  • Assist in the execution of all projects as requested by the SVP subject to delivering key strategic priority areas;·
  • Manage TD and VIP event logistics during the Rogers Cup;
    Manage electronic and paper files as needed and appropriate;

  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for SVP and department leaders as needed and as prioritized

  • Act as the primary point of contact when required to ensure all correspondence and requests are dealt with promptly or directed to the most appropriate individual;
  • Liaise and collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient business optimization and innovation that strengthen the entire business (Finance, Budgets, Operations, Board & Session logistics, HR) and carrying out the following responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement common operating
      procedures and best practices for all offices and administrative staff;
    • Manage and support TD/HP staff with budgets;
    • Work with IT to ensure TD/HP system needs are
      met and offer optimal productivity;
    • Ensure new staff members are trained in
      office procedures and practices as needed.

Who you are

  • University degree or college diploma (in a
    field related to office administration an asset);
  • 3-5 years of previous experience in a
    similar role;
  • Strong planning, organization and time
    management skills;
  • Results-oriented with a sense of urgency and high energy; work with other staff and stakeholders, as required, to exude a “can do” attitude;   
  • Proven critical thinking skills combined with common sense;

  • Displays the ability to manage budgets and help prepare meaningful budgetary reports;
  • Strong technological skills are an asset.
    Including being current with social media platforms and very proficient with computer software applications in a Windows environment (asset);
  •   Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual French/English (asset)
