Coordinator, Projets synergiques (Synergistic Projects) and program support
Reporting to the Director of Excellence, Programs and Education, and in conjunction with Advisor, Pathway Excellence, the Coordinator will provide the administrative support needed for research, development, innovation and dissemination of information undertaken by the Institut national du sport du Québec (INS Québec). In particular, the role will be focused on activities related to the Synergistic Projects, component of the PSDE (Programme de soutien au développement de l’excellence —program to support the development of excellence), run by the Quebec Ministère de l’Éducation, as well as the sports medicine and sports science support system for athletes in the Élite and Relève categories.
Generally, the successful applicant will work to provide administrative support in the planning, development, implementation and assessment phases of scientific projects. The role will also involve the administrative running of activities related to Synergistic Projects and other programs.
More specifically, the successful applicant will be tasked with coordinating special activities that result from regular and ad-hoc service agreements between INS Québec and sports, academic and corporate partners. Duties also include determining the necessary (material, technical and financial) resources for scientific projects and carefully allocating them based on project needs and priorities. The Coordinator will help recruit university students, interns and contractors for the scientific division, and manage the budget for programs and services offered within the division. Furthermore, the role will involve liaising with the accounting department regarding the financial and material resources of projects and activities, as well as performing any other related tasks in connection with the position.
