Hockey New Brunswick is the governing body for amateur hockey within New Brunswick. Working with its member associations, clubs and leagues, Hockey New Brunswick oversees the administration and delivery of hockey programming from the entry level to national competition. This is a full-time position based at the Hockey New Brunswick office in
Fredericton, NB.

Reporting to the Branch Executive Director, the Coordinator of Membership Services will:

·       Greet and assist visitors to the HNB office and receive phone calls and inquiries in a professional manner;

·       Provide support and training to Minor Hockey Associations on the Hockey Canada Registry;

·       Update insurance program claims and reports in collaboration with Hockey Canada;

·       Manage Special Event Sanctioning requests;

·       Manage the HNB Awards and Scholarships in conjunction with the Awards and Scholarship Committee;

·       Oversee the sanctioning of Hockey New Brunswick tournaments and jamborees;

·       Order trophies and awards for HNB Provincial Championships;

·       Staff resource for Hockey New Brunswick Minor Council, which includes preparation of meeting agenda, reports and recording of minutes;

·       Editing of HNB by-laws, policies and documents;

·       Oversee annual HNB Fundraiser, distribution of tickets to membership and coordination with sponsors and award winners;

·       Some written translation will be required;

·       Provide general administration office services;

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate shall possess the following:

Diploma/undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institute, or equivalent work experience;
Possess exceptional computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Strong project coordination and excellent organizational skills;
Proven written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to work in a team environment with volunteers;
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if required;
Written and spoken competence in French and English is required. Please state your language capability. Candidates who meet the essential qualifications shall be subject to appropriate language testing. Please
