Overview
Athletics Canada is the national sport organization for track and field, cross county, road, mountain, ultra and trail running. Its purpose is to support high performance athletics excellence at the domestic and international level and to provide leadership in developmental athletics in partnership with its provincial/territorial branch partners. Athletics Canada is a not-for-profit, charitable organization operating under a Board of Directors elected by provincial/territorial members.
Reporting to the Director, Operations, the E-Store Coordinator is responsible for operational and administrative support of shop.athletics.ca. The role is expected to evolve with growth opportunity and increased responsibility to include coordination of promotional and other marketing related activities around Athletics Canada programs and events.
Responsibilities
Operational support of shop.athletics.ca
• Help process web purchases, track arrivals, and communicate with customers for returns / exchanges.
• Address general customer inquiries received by phone and/or email.
• Assist in content development for product launches, including but not limited to product descriptions, photo editing, and tags for SEO.
• Inventory Control: Ensure inventory is efficiently and accurately received; Accept and enter all incoming inventory, track levels and report as necessary to the Director, Operations
• Other duties as assigned.
Marketing support
• Assist with marketing plans for major events, including but not limited to:
o Canadian Track and Field Championships
o Canadian Indoor Track and Field Championships
o Canadian Cross Country Championships
o Canadian 5km, 10km, Half Marathon and Marathon Championships
o Athletics Canada National Track and Field Tour events
Qualifications
• Working knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools
• Previous experience in e-commerce, retail or similar working environment is considered an asset.
• Experience with the Shopify platform is considered an asset.
• Customer Service focused.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently.
• Bilingualism considered an asset
Working Conditions
This position is located at Athletics Canada’s national office in Ottawa, Ontario. Flexibility to work remotely a few days per week. The position requires some light to moderate lifting as part of the position (carrying and moving boxes). The position will require some travel.

Salary based on candidate’s skills and experience. Enrollment into Athletics Canada benefits and RRSP program.
