The Sport Information Resource Centre (SIRC) is looking for knowledgeable and innovative leaders to join our Board. SIRC is seeking expressions of interest from individuals to fill up to two positions to be elected to the SIRC Board of Directors at the 2025 Annual General Meeting on June 18, 2025.
SIRC’s fundamental philosophy is that wise decisions and inspired programs are informed by credible research and timely information. Communication is key and knowledge helps to build confidence. With this in mind, we would like to ensure we are reaching across the country and into our communities to help Canadians enjoy sport and physical activity. SIRC will be working with clubs, sports, researchers and partners to share information, facilitate conversations and celebrate new achievements. Join the SIRC team as we seek out new ways to grow the sport network, share knowledge excellence and lead by example.
SIRC is looking for up to two additional Board members who are leaders in their fields and embrace the value to never stop learning. We are seeking leaders to whom we can look for advice, assistance and guidance. We are looking for leaders who believe sport should be a safe and positive experience. As a national multi-sport service organization that receives federal funding, SIRC has signed on to the Canadian Safe Sport Program (CSSP) and all Board members (and staff) are required to sign on to CSSP and take the Safe Sport training.
If you would like to apply to join the SIRC Board for a three-year term, please submit your expression of interest, including a cover letter and CV, to the SIRC Board Nomination Committee at board@sirc.ca by May 25, 2025. SIRC reserves the option to nominate up to two Directors. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact board@sirc.ca.
