Olympic Fair

Join the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) as they partner with the Right Honourable Governor General, Sport Information Resource Centre (SIRC) and Kidsport for the National Olympic Fair.  This event held in conjunction with the CHEO Teddy Bears’ Picnic will take place on Olympic Day, Saturday June 22, 2013 at the Governor General's residence at Rideau Hall.

Olympic Day is celebrated world-wide on June 23rd every year, as a way to create awareness of the Olympic Movement and Olympic Values (excellence, fun, fairness, respect, personal growth, leadership and peace).

Children, youth and their families are invited to discover and try a variety of different sports on the Rideau Hall grounds. Try your hand at soccer, triathlon and even tennis.  Stop by the Olympic tent and listen to Olympic athletes and coaches speak about their experiences and inspire Canadians to adopt and apply the Olympic values.  Send a “Cheer Card” to one of the Canadian Olympic Athletes to encourage them on their journey in pursuit of Olympic gold. This is just a sample of the activities to take place at the National Olympic Fair.
