Dear Jennifer,

Thank you for contacting SIRC with your question regarding sporting events and environmental sustainability. The global sport community has recognized the importance of building environmental sustainability into their organizational structure, administration and event hosting practices. From the International Olympic Committee on down to local communities, sport organizations have been investing in environmental strategies.
