Equestrian Canada – Ottawa, ON, April 16, 2018 – Equestrian Canada (EC) is pleased to announce the launch of the Combined Driving Achievement Awards, which recognize Canadian drivers at all levels that consistently perform to a high standard at EC or Provincial/Territorial Sport Organization (PTSO) recognized combined driving events.

This inaugural driving awards program was inspired by Larry Brinker of Langley, BC, who is a multidiscipline EC certified judge, and American Driving Society ‘R’ Combined Driving Judge and Technical Delegate. The Combined Driving Achievement Awards are designed to encourage athlete participation and development, and are offered for the following levels:

  • Training Level
  • Preliminary Level
  • Intermediate Level
  • Advanced/FEI Level

Drivers are invited to submit qualifying scores from three Combined Driving Events or Horse Driving Trials for the opportunity to earn one Achievement Award per level. Submissions will be accepted on an ongoing basis.

Full information on the Combined Driving Achievement Awards and how to submit an application can be found at www.equestrian.ca/sport/driving/awards.
