Position Summary:  

This position is responsible for assisting the Manager of Coaching Development in matters relating to The Ontario Soccer’s Coach Development Program.

The Coordinator, Coach Development will provide support and guidance to the Ontario Soccer Membership Districts and Clubs for the Coach Development Program, including the coordination of the clinic management systems and maintenance of coaching accreditations and ongoing customer service for the Coach Development Program. This position will assist with the development of training materials and coordination of the Learning Facilitators.

Academy Soccer Coach Education Platform

  • Coordinate with Academy Soccer Coach administration on all phases of platform development
  • Communication of codes/access information to coaches for licensing courses
  • Providing content for the platform
  • Respond to all coach enquiries regarding Academy Soccer Coach


CAO/CAC & Canada Soccer Communication

Maintain communication with Coaches Association of Ontario, Coaching Association of Canada and Canada Soccer in order to ensure accuracy pertaining to;            

  • NCCP Locker platform updates
  • Personal Development and training events
  • Bursary/funding opportunities


C Licence Program

  • Communicate with Districts and Clubs in order to book and promote workshops across the Province
  • First point of contact for all queries aimed at the C Licence
  • Manage application and registration process
  • Manage course materials and distribution as they pertain to the workshop
  • Assign course Facilitators
  • Confirm travel details, hotels and meals (if necessary)
  • Organize course equipment, A/V requirements and stationery
  • Manage class lists and their upload to NCCP
  • Set up all assessment days (post-course)
  • Field Bookings
  • Schedule Evaluators
  • Manage all equipment requirements
  • Manage the Evaluator schedule
  • Manage all communication with candidates

Female Mentorship Program

  • Provide support to Female Mentorship Program Lead and any mentee coaches
  • Manage website content
  • Distribute course program materials to mentee coaches
  • Provide support during the annual application process
  • Process all expenses related to the program

Finance/Budget Preparation

  • Provide support for annual budget submission
  • Process all expenses pertaining to all Coaching Department programs and items

Coach Developers/Master Coach Developers  

  • Support the annual Coach Developer application process
  • Manage all Coach Developer applications
  • Maintain high level of communication with all Coach Developers across the province
  • Assign Coach Developers to courses
  • Processing Coach Developer expenses
  • Process all Coach Developer clothing orders and requirements
  • Act as first point of contact for Coach Developers across the province

National B Licence Part 1 Workshop & Part 2 Prep Workshop

  • Communicate with Districts and Clubs for booking and promotion of workshops across the province
  • Be the first point of contact for all queries aimed at the B Licence
  • Manage application and registration process
  • Manage course materials and distribution as they pertain to the workshop
  • Assign course Coach Developers
  • Confirm travel details, hotels and meals
  • Organize course equipment, A/V needs and stationery
  • Manage class lists and upload to NCCP
  • Set up all assessment days (post-course)
  • Booking field
  • Booking evaluators
  • Managing equipment
  • Sorting out the schedule
  • Maintaining communication with candidates


Ontario Soccer Summit  

  • Support the logistics of Coaching Summit Speakers
  • Attend pre-Summit meetings
  • Promote the Summit through all Coaching Department outlets
  • Communicate with all Coach Developers regarding registration and duties on Summit weekend


Technical Director Diploma Course

  • Support the building of course schedule
  • Book the course with facility staff
  • Support the communication to course presenters
  • Collect all course presentations for post-course distribution
  • Create course certificates
  • Process all expenses related to the course
  • Support the booking of hotels and/or car rentals for speakers
  • Oversee all course refreshments components
  • Create and distribute course survey
  • Distribute and collect all post-course work

Coaching Section of Ontario Soccer Website

  • Oversee and edit all website content pertaining to the Coach Development Program


  • At least 2 years’ experience in administrative support
  • Experience with website content updating
  • Experience working with volunteers


Education and Professional Designations:

Post-Secondary education in sports administration, physical education, recreation or other related discipline: or comparable work experience.


Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong written and verbal communication, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of common technology and computer platforms
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Strong time management skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and relationship building skills
  • A desire to learn and professionally grow within the organization and game
