Position Summary

Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities is a national charity dedicated to helping kids overcome financial and accessibility barriers to sport and recreation in order to provide inclusive play for kids of all abilities. With an extensive, national network of more than 1,900 Community Partners and nearly 300 local chapters, Jumpstart helps eligible families cover the costs of registration, transportation, and equipment, and provides funding to selected organizations for recreational infrastructure and programming. Supported by the Canadian Tire Family of Companies, which includes Canadian Tire, PartSource, Gas+, Sport Chek, Atmosphere, National Sports, Sports Experts, Mark's and Canadian Tire Financial Services, Jumpstart has enabled 1.5 million Canadian kids and counting to get in the game since 2005.

Jumpstart Regional Managers represent the Charity in the field, through the relationships and execution of all community programs. As such they are a primary point of contact Community Partner organizations and Chapter members.  They work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Jumpstart meets its goals.


  • Strategically develop and manage Chapters.

    • Provide support and guidance to Chapter Chairs to ensure Chapters operate at maximum effectiveness based on key performance indicators;
    • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including:
      • Chapter Chairs and CTR Dealers
      • Other CTC Banner representatives
      • Community Partners
  • Manage Chapter budgets through forecasting of program investments
  • Participate in the review of grant applications & make funding recommendations to Chapter Chairs and Jumpstart Senior Management
  • Promote Jumpstart programs & funding opportunities within communities
    • Foster awareness of Jumpstart through events & community meetings, and engage with Jumpstart stakeholders
    • Conduct regular evaluations of funded programs

  • Excellent coordination, planning and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Minimum 5 years work experience and 2 years Management experience
  • University and/or College education
  • Sports and recreation experience an asset
  • Experience formulating Community-based partnerships
  • Bilingual (French) is an asset
  • Extensive travel required – up to 70% of time
