Position Description:
The Social Media & Digital Products Coordinator oversees all of Sport for Life Social Media accounts
including research, planning and tracking as well as content development and promotion related to
event, media and outreach. The position also plays a key role in research of potential opportunities for
development of Sport for Life Digital Products including stakeholder engagement and liaison. Be part of
growing innovative department within Sport for Life.

Reports to: Publications & Communications Coordinator, and Manager of Activation.

Roles and Responsibilities
Digital Products Coordination – reporting to Manager of Activation

  • Assists our senior level digital professionals in generating new business by being the Sport for Life ‘go to support’ for digital products and services,
  • Works in conjunction with the Manager of Activation to shape digital strategy to identify revenue opportunities,
  • Work on multi-sector digital products for international and national markets,
  • Demonstrate fluency and thought leadership in the digital space by educating internal staff and Sport for Life partners on the power of our digital assets,
  • Be the champion for our digital products in multiple sectors,
  • Liaise with prospective clients in regards to contract requirements and deliverables,
  • Follow through on established agreements from launch to operational and then be the primary point of contract for follow up during the term of the agreement,
  • Work creatively to bring about awareness of online opportunities in synergy with the Sport for Life's communications group,
  • Utilize Sport for Life’s digital assets to develop and create compelling solution oriented programs for our partners.

Social Media Coordination – reporting to Publication and Communications Coordinator
Social Media – leading in collaboration with the Communications Team

  • Manage social media accounts: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube/Vimeo (uploads & maintenance)
  • Analysis, tracking and reporting of website and SM analytics

Promotion and marketing of products, services and events

  • Timely scheduling and distribution Sport for Life written communications (i.e. e-newsletters, press releases, e-blast, SIRC articles, websites) including promotion and follow up communication,
  • Timely scheduling and distribution Sport for Life of promotional material (postcards etc.) creation of collateral material through our multiple channels
  • Determining and executing cross promotional opportunities including development and sharing of messaging toolkits and promo campaigns

Events:

  • Work with Directors and Managers in the promotion Sport for Life department and division events as well as their partner organization’s events.
    • Populate website events calendar
  • Editing, sharing, posting, scheduling of recorded webinars (ENG primary, FR secondary)
    • Promote, facilitate and deliver follow-up of webinars across divisions

Job Requirements:

  • Successful candidate will be an outgoing and an effective communicator who is passionate about Sport for Life’s mission and able to effectively communicate how Sport for Life’s services help to improve the quality of sport and support the development of physical literacy in Canada
  • Good understanding of elearning and web based applications
  • Strong demonstrated social media platform skills
  • Self-directed, with the ability to learn new platforms quickly; teach and support others
  • Excellent customer service skills to both internal and external clients, with ability to foster, develop and maintain ongoing relationships with diverse stakeholder groups

Qualifications:

  • Bilingualism is required both oral and written, (French and English)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in multiple social media platforms
  • Degree or diploma in related field

Assets, but not required

  • Experience in Dropbox, Smartsheet, Google Apps & email platforms
  • Ability to work on both Mac & PC
  • Ability to use smartsheet and salesforce
  • Video editing and graphic design skills - Adobe Suite
  • Basic website HTML & HTML5 coding
  • General understanding of Sport for Life, Long-Term Athlete Development and Physical Literacy is preferred

Salary Range: Annual salary range is a range of $38,000 to $41,000 depending on experience plus medical and dental benefits.
