PROJECT clothing, an Australian technical sportswear company who supplies bespoke uniforms to National Sporting Organisations as well as specialised training apparel to the retail market is currently recruiting for a business development and customer service manager to service our long standing relationship with Triathlon Canada and to expand our brand throughout Canada. The role is offered on a part time or full time basis dependent on the successful applicant’s experience.


This is a blend of customer service and business development so it is imperative the candidate has a solid understanding of the Triathlon and sports communities, have strong communication skills and be comfortable in dealing with the smallest detail or issue. The successful candidate will report into the Managing Director and be fully supported by an energetic team in Australia.


  • Management of PROJECT’s commercial accounts ensuring a full and high standard of client servicing on every aspect
  • Development of the commercial portfolio, including organically growing existing accounts
  • Identification and recruitment of new commercial partners through strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Accountability for the day to day running of each of the accounts working across every element of the sponsorship
  • Oversee, where required, the logistical delivery of sponsorship at events across the calendar year
  • Lead the development of creative ideas, working with clients to deliver insightful and creative solutions for sponsorship strategy
  • Work with rights holders’ affiliated agencies to deliver a fully integrated sponsorship with efficiency and cohesiveness.
  • Liaise with all key parties in the planning and execution of the sponsorship and partnership programme to ensure client objectives are communicated and met

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sports sales and/or marketing role
  • Self-starter with a demonstrable ability to lead the account on a day to day basis as well as identify and drive revenue through new growth opportunities
  • Highly organised and proactive, in order to effectively manage existing accounts
  • A very positive attitude as well as being a determined individual with a willingness to go the extra mile for the business
  • A strong team player who is able to submerge themselves into the business, collaborate and grow as a cohesive unit
  • Excellent presentational skills and ability to persuade and influence with credible business content
  • Willingness to take ownership of all accounts and go above and beyond for your clients, with occasional late night and weekend work required as per the nature of the industry
  • High personal expectations of performance
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, rights holders and colleagues
  • A creative thinker, comfortable with delivering ideas away from the traditional but equally at home with conventional marketing techniques
