Job Summary: The purpose of the Head Coach for the Junior Varsity team of the Toronto Jets is to provide an environment for teenagers to learn, advance and excel both on the football field as well as in their community. The main role of this position is to instruct team concepts and positional skills, promote safety matter during practices and competition; organize and conduct practice sessions as well as be a positive role model to teenagers. The Head Coach will advise team members and will be welcome to bring other trusted staff on board. Coaches must display integrity, leadership, a strong commitment and ability to motivate, teach, counsel and recruit athletes to play for the Toronto Jets.
Minimum Qualifications: Strong Organizational skills and ability to effectively communicate with staff, parents, community, and athletes. Successful intercollegiate or professional coaching experience and experience recruiting football player is preferred. High degree of integrity and the ability to maintain high ethical standards required. Must have thorough knowledge of football concepts, rules, and regulations of the OFL and OMFL.
