SIRC at the CASEM-OMA Conference
Tuesday, February 3, 2015 - 09:33
The Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM) and SIRC have always worked together to provide the latest research in sports science to CASEM members. That is why SIRC is pleased to announce that we will be attending the CASEM-OMA conference at The Westin Ottawa from February 11-14. This exciting event gives Ontario sport doctors and practitioners the opportunity to share their expertise and learn from each other.
What are some of the conversations that will be happening this year?
- Optimizing Performance Through Nutrition and Recovery
- Should my Child Play Contact Sports? The Risks of Concussion and CTE
- Injury Prevention in Youth Sport and Recreation: Get on with it!
SIRC has 1000’s of resources that cover everything from the latest concussion and sport nutrition research, injury rehabilitation and recovery methods as well as strength and conditioning techniques. With the launch of our new website in 2014, we took the opportunity to build a customized dashboard for CASEM members to make it as easy as possible for them to find these resources and use them to their best advantage.
Conferences are great for preparing professionals to face the many challenges and changes in sport so if you are attending this year’s conference, feel free to come by SIRC’s onsite resource centre to see all we have to offer!
