Charles Hamelin

Speed Skating -Short Track

Charles Hamelin began speed skating at the age of 10 and made his debut at the world junior championships in 2002. He went on to Earned his first career World Cup medal (bronze) at the 2004 World Cup in Bormio, Italy. In 2006 he was named to the Canadian Olympic team and won a silver medal in relay. Charles was named Speed Skating Canada’s Male Skater of the Year – Short Track in 05, 07, 08 and 09 and in 08-09 he was ranked first in Canada for the third year.
